Born in Blackpool in 1951, Andrew, known to his friends as Andy, grew up around Liverpool, England.

 

A financial advisor, he has always enjoyed writing. He helps run Manfred Mann's fan club, writing articles and liner notes.

 

Andrew is married with three children. He loves music, old television, and has a model railway in his garden!

 

It was while prospecting for new clients in 1980 that Andrew met Ed Gilchrist. Quite soon, they became good friends.

 

And so, some 25 years later, the idea of God's Children was born.

 

Andrew now lives in Wallasey, just a few miles across the River Mersey from Liverpool.

After a successful career in IT consulting, Ed semi-retired to enable him to help people and communities and spend more time supporting and understanding his son, who has autism and other conditions that affect his mental health. Ed is a trustee with a well-known learning disability charity and is involved with many other community activities.
